Josh's Modded Server III

Please do read this whole thing. It has stuff you might find useful or interesting in it and it justifies the time I spent writing this (I definitely was not procrastinating for my AI exam).

Getting Set Up

Please do this before the server goes live (looking at you Hayden).

1. Download Forge version 1.20.1-47.3.0 and run the installer.
2. Download mods.zip from above
3. Go to your .minecraft folder (%appdata/.minecraft) and delete everything in the mods folder
4. Copy your mods.zip to the same mods folder
5. Right click mods.zip, select 'Extract All' and extract into the current folder

The IP address is newschool.tailf0034.ts.net. If this gives an error that the server isn't found, you probably haven't got tailscale set up properly. Please stop uninstalling tailscale every time we stop using it.

The Mods

I won't tell you which mods are installed because you can look at the list of them yourself. Instead, here's a list of cool things you could do.

Dimensions

• The Aether is installed, so you can finally build that glowstone portal. There seems to be plenty of loot you can get from there
• Likewise, there's a dimension called 'The Undergarden'. You can get to it by making a catalyst which you can find the recipe for in the JEI menu. You use this to light a portal made of stone or deepslate bricks

Create

• Create Enchantment Industry - lets you make XP farms n shit
• Create Big Cannons - I wonder what this does
• Create Ore Excavation - lets you extract large amounts of ore from fixed locations using drilling machines. You can find these locations with an ore vein finder
• Create Steam 'n' rails - trains
• Create Jetpack - I wonder what this does

Magic

• Reactive Alchemy adds an insane amount of magic stuff. You can read the wiki for more info
• Ars Nouveau also adds magic stuff, and you can use the Worn Notebook item available at the book dispenser on the spawn island to track how all that works

Places

• Aquamirae adds a load of underwater stuff which generates in the Deep Frozen Ocean biome. You could locate this using the nature's compass item
• Cataclysm adds structures in the Nether and End which have cool bossfights

Other Stuff

• Tide adds fishing stuff by popular demand
• Immersive paintings are back of course
• Chisel and bits is here because Max wants to make penises out of blocks
• Simply Swords adds some new swords
• The voice chat mod is here
